Ujjain director of police Manoj Kumar Singh in a late night public interview said the police activity had been “clear and straightforward”. He said Dubey had been perceived by the man from whom he purchased blossoms at the sanctuary. The seller, Rajesh Kumar, had seen photos of the criminal on TV.

Senior cops revealed to The Indian Express that Dubey could have strategised his capture to abstain from being slaughtered by the police in an “experience”.

“There are CCTV cameras all over and the private security monitors inside the sanctuary premises don’t convey firearms. An acquiescence before the police anyplace else would have been hazardous for him,” a senior official said.

During the strike on the interceding night of July 2 and 3, eight police faculty, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police and three Sub-Inspectors, were slaughtered in the wake of going under overwhelming fire.
