KSLSA & DLSA Organize ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan’ Awareness Campaign at Government Higher Primary School, Parappana Agrahara

Bengaluru: As part of the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA), in association with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Bengaluru Urban, organized a comprehensive drug awareness programme at Government Higher Primary School, Parappana Agrahara, Bengaluru.
The awareness campaign aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, tobacco, alcohol, vaping, and other addictive substances. Resource persons highlighted the physical, mental, social, and legal consequences of substance abuse while encouraging students to make informed and responsible choices.

During the programme, students were urged to resist peer pressure, stay focused on education, participate in sports and extracurricular activities, and seek guidance from parents, teachers, and counsellors whenever needed. The speakers emphasized that a drug-free lifestyle is essential for a healthy future and the overall development of society.
The campaign also highlighted the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which seeks to build a drug-free India through awareness, prevention, and community participation. Interactive sessions, motivational talks, and student participation made the programme engaging and impactful.
School authorities appreciated the initiative and expressed their gratitude to KSLSA and DLSA Bengaluru Urban for bringing this important awareness programme to the students. The event concluded with a collective pledge by students and staff to stay away from drugs and actively promote a healthy, safe, and drug-free society.
