Murder and extortion case: 2 charge sheet against underworld don Ravi Poojary

Bengaluru: The Central Bureau of Investigation (Criminal Affairs) has filed two charge sheets against underworld don Ravi Poojary in connection with the Tilak Nagar murder case and several extortion cases.
Ravi Poojari is accused of murdering a couple at the Shabanam Developers office in Tilak Nagar and threatening a man at Whitefield Station. He has now been indicted in two cases. ‘Only two cases have been indicted. DCP Sandeep Patil said the investigation into the remaining cases is continuing.
Ravi Poojary was wanted by the police in many criminal cases. He has over 200 cases in Karnataka. In the capital, Bangalore has 39, Mangalore 36, Udupi 11, Mysore, Hubli-Dharwad, Kolar, and Shimoga each. Ravi Poojary has been booked for 49 cases in Mumbai and 75 in Gujarat for extortion, kidnapping, extortion, and murder threats.
In 2007, RaviPoojary had committed Double murder shootout in TilakNagar.
The case was reopened after Poojary was handed over to India. Shabnam developers had refused to give Hafta Ravi Poojary Hence this was the reason for Double murder, -police said.
