KPCC Office Stormed by Demands: Delegation Urges MLC Nomination for Dr. Yoonas Jones
BENGALURU: A high-level delegation of Congress leaders has strongly urged the party high command to nominate multi-faceted Congress leader Dr. Yoonas Jones as a Member of the Legislative Council (MLC) under the arts and Christian minority quota.
A Congress delegation submitted a memorandum to Congress leader B. K. Hariprasad, demanding that Dr. Yoonas Jones—a Congress leader, actor, stunt director, producer, and CEO of Mystical Rose Visuals Private Limited—be nominated to the MLC (Member of Legislative Council) position under the arts and Christian minority category.
At the KPCC (Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee) office, leaders including KPCC Secretary Daniel, Bengaluru Central District Women’s Congress Committee Vice President Ms. Shanta Kumari, and other prominent figures raised this demand.
They stated that Dr. Jones has been working loyally as a Christian leader within the Congress party for many years and must be given a suitable position, warning that they would otherwise have to look at other options. They added that after K. J. George, Yoonas Jones holds a highly respected reputation within the Christian community, and appointing him would greatly benefit the community.
