Bengaluru: The state government today urged auto drivers, owners, and the general public not to pay attention to any rumors regarding a shortage of auto gas. It stated that while some private auto gas supply companies are experiencing shortages, government-owned oil companies are supplying gas in larger quantities to rectify the situation.

The Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs stated in a release that it has come to its notice that some media outlets have published reports of auto owners and drivers queuing up in front of auto gas stations in the state due to rumors of a shortage.

Key Points from the Department:

  • Private Shortage, Public Support: There is a shortage specifically among private auto gas supply companies.

  • Call for Cooperation: The department urged auto owners and drivers in the state not to panic by listening to rumors and asked for their cooperation.
