Continuous stone pelting on Hindu house: Tense atmosphere created in Chikkamagaluru, security increased

Chikkamagaluru: For the past week, miscreants have been continuously pelting stones at a house near Tilak Park in Vijayanagara Layout of Chikkamagaluru city, creating an atmosphere of anxiety among the locals. Following the incident, some Muslim youths were caught by Bajrang Dal activists and handed over to the police. This led to a tense situation at the spot on Monday night. On the other hand, two Muslim youths were injured during the clash and have been admitted to the Mallegowda Government District Hospital. Meanwhile, the injured and community leaders are alleging that the attack was carried out by Bajrang Dal and BJP workers, creating an atmosphere of anxiety among the locals. Meanwhile, the family members who were subjected to stone pelting have filed a complaint with the police, stating that stones are being thrown at the house during the day and night. They have said that they are living in fear. The Basavanahalli Police Station is currently investigating the case. Stones were pelted on our house. They have been pelting stones continuously for the past one week. The locals caught them and handed them over to the police. I am going to work. Only my mother and sister are at home. They throw stones at noon and night. We have complained to the police.
On Monday night, stones were also thrown at the house. The mother and sister, who were outside, questioned them. The owner of the house, Gagan, alleged that the youths then got into a fight with them.
It is learned that some Muslim youths were caught by Bajrang Dal activists in this regard and handed over to the police.
SDPI leader Munir said that Muslim youths were attacked for a trivial reason. He warned of a protest if a case is not registered against those involved.
Similarly, Hindu organizations have also demanded that those who threw stones at the house be immediately arrested, and strict action be taken.
This led to a brief drama in front of the local police station. Youths from both communities gathered, creating a tense atmosphere for some time.
Currently, an additional police force has been deployed under the leadership of MSP Jayakumar, and tight security has been implemented around the station and hospital.
