National Highway Bandh near Hoskote Toll on 10th – Vatal Nagaraj

Bengaluru: Pro-Kannada activist Vatal Nagaraj said that the national highway will be blocked near Hoskote toll on October 10 over the Cauvery river water sharing dispute. Talking to the reporters, he said that Attibele withdrew from the border bandh decision and said that on Tuesday the National highway near Hoskote toll will be blocked by pro-Kannada organizations.
In opposition to the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu, a siege was laid on the KRS reservoir, the livelihood of the farmers of Mandya district, under the leadership of Vatal Nagaraj. Police stopped the militants near the main entrance. Also, including Vatal, more than 50 activists were taken into custody by the police.
Vatal Nagaraj, who had recently called for MPs to resign from their seats to resolve the Cauvery dispute, suggested that Prime Minister Modi should mediate. He suggested sending a team to assess the situation before giving priority to political games.
He demanded that this issue related to the livelihood and welfare of the people of both the states should not be turned into a political battle and the situation should be resolved through peaceful dialogue. On September 29, the Karnataka bandh was held under the leadership of Vatal Nagaraj.
