China cancels quarantine rules for foreign travelers amid rising covid infections!

Beijing: Due to public outrage against the zero covid policy , China has announced that it will cancel the isolation rules for incoming international travelers from January 08.
China’s National Health Commission (NHC)’s handling of Covid-19 will be downgraded from Class A to Class B next month. It is said that diseases of lesser severity will be included in the same category.
From January 08, 2023, China will abolish inbound quarantine for those arriving from abroad. According to the old rules, those arriving in China from abroad had to undergo a mandatory 2-week quarantine. Gradually this was increased to a total of 5 days with three days of monitoring.
China made this announcement amid the rising number of Covid cases in China. According to officials there, Omicron mutants are said to be no more dangerous than Delta.
