Covid-19: Promotion of private hospitals High Court

Bengaluru: The High Court on Wednesday directed the state government to take action to disclose the treatment rates of Covid-19 patients in private hospitals.

The Divisional Bench headed by Justice Arvind Kumar, which was hearing a public interest petition on the Covid-19 issue, suggested that banners should be advertised on state transport buses.

The petitioners allege that due to lack of awareness among the public, some private hospitals are setting rates higher than the government set rates.

The High Court has directed the state government to “detail the steps taken to promote the rate bar.”

‘The advice given by the experts on the Gauri Ganesh festival is strictly followed. Traffic is also being monitored for travelers coming from Kerala, ”a pro-government lawyer explained.

“All the ward-level officers in Bangalore must follow the advice of Covid,” the bench said.
