Tiger, leopard nail, animal skins Seized , four arrested in Bengaluru

Bengaluru : Police in the south of Bangalore have seized 400 leopard claws, six tiger claws, one female silkworm, a fox’s skin and seven pangolin claws that have threatened the smuggling of wildlife.

Police have seized two tiger paws and three bear claws and four have been arrested in this connection.
The Forest Department has confirmed that the seized items are legit. Forest and police departments are now keeping a record of wild animal deaths in Karnataka and neighboring states. The search was made in the wake of many jewelry stores eager to buy animal body organs.

“We got the hint that animal nails are being sold to jewelry stores. They are like regular customers. They want to add animal nail parts into gold lockets. We have planned and imprisoned these hunters.

“Two of the detainees are based in the town of Hunsur near the Nagarhole Human Resources Zone.
