CCB Police Have arrested a major accused of Shabanam Developers Shootout Case

BANGALORE: CCB police have arrested a major accused after 13 years in connection with the Shabanam Developers Shootout.
“Iqlaq Qureshi has been arrested in the 2007 Shabanam Developers Shootout case,” said Sandeep Patil, Joint Police Commissioner of CCB.
Iqlaq Qureshi hails from Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, and is hiding in the Naga Mangala. He was arrested in 2007. The accused, who had been out on bail, had hidden his head. It is said that Iqlaq Qureshi had links to an illegal arms supplier along with another accused already in custody.
In 2007, an underworld gangster Ravi Poojari gang attacked Shabanam Developers at Tilak Nagar police station and killed two of them. A case has been registered at the Tilak Nagar police station.
After Ravi Poojary was brought to India from Africa a special team was formed to investigate all the cases involved. When the team investigated, Iqlaq Qureshi of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, who supplied pistols to the Ravi Poojari team in the Shabanam Developers case, was arrested.
CCB police are investigating the criminal world of underworld Ravi Poojary, while information has been received about the Iqlaq Qureshi acts.
The arrested Iqlaq Qureshi was produced before the court and taken into custody. The CCB police are working intensively to track down those who had links with Ravi Pujari, their associates and their head.
