The country is locked down to escape the coronavirus. This has affected the economy of the people. Thus, the central government has been making concessions to the people to keep them from getting into trouble. Another gift to the people of the country is now after the exemption on the monthly ration of free rations and bank loans.
Now the people of the country are exempted from paying electricity bills for three months. The Ministry of Energy has issued a directive to the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC). BESCOM (Power Supply Organization) has been instructed to exempt electricity bill payment for 3 months. It also said that if the bill is not paid after 3 months there should be no penalty. Furthermore, this exemption is not free. After three months the electricity bill has to be raised.
