IPL 2026: Vaibhav Suryavanshi Smashes Two Sixes in a Single Over Against Bumrah!

Vaibhav Suryavanshi became the major highlight of the match by hitting two sixes in a single over against world-class pacer Jasprit Bumrah. The IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians, held on Tuesday night in Guwahati, generated intense curiosity due to the face-off between Suryavanshi and Bumrah.

The match at the Barsapara Stadium was reduced to 11 overs due to rain interruptions. Although the game started late at 10:10 PM, the enthusiasm of the crowd remained high, largely thanks to Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s batting. He stole the show by smashing two sixes in one over against Jasprit Bumrah, who is widely regarded as the best fast bowler in the world.

In the second over, Bumrah delivered a ball in the middle and leg slot, which Vaibhav dispatched over long-on for a six. Bumrah reacted with a slight smile. Following this, when Bumrah bowled the fourth delivery outside off-stump, an unfazed Vaibhav struck a massive six toward deep square leg.

Despite facing the world’s top-ranked bowler, Vaibhav managed to hit a six on the very first ball he faced from Bumrah. In a blistering cameo, he scored 39 runs off just 14 balls, including 5 sixes and 1 boundary.

On the back of this strong performance, Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 27 runs. With this victory, the team secured a hat-trick of wins this season, collecting 6 points from 3 matches to climb to the top of the IPL points table.
