A case has been registered against MP Tejaswi Surya for ‘hate speech’ at Halasur Gate police station

Bengaluru: A case has been registered against MP Tejaswi Surya for allegedly making hate speech during the BJP’s protest against the attack on Mukesh, the owner of a mobile shop in Nagartpet, Bengaluru.
A police official said that a case has been registered and investigation has been carried out on the instructions of the State Election Commission in the wake of the Lok Sabha elections.
Last Tuesday BJP held a massive protest. Tejaswi Surya, who participated in the protest, tried to disturb the peace in the society by making hate speech to inflame religious sentiments. Thus, a resident of Chikkapet filed a complaint with the Election Officer demanding action against Tejaswi Surya.
A notice will be issued to MP Tejaswi Surya regarding the complaint. The police said that they will be called for further questioning if necessary.
