Doctor commits suicide after jumping out of hospital building

Bengaluru :- 45-year-old professor at Ramaiah Medical College and Hospital committed suicide Wednesday morning by jumping from the 8th floor of the building. However, the exact cause of the suicide is unknown, and police suspect it may be due to work stress.
Dr. Ambarish Vijay Raghav, a resident of Banashankari who is also a Professor in the Department of Physiology, is a deceased doctor. Police said he was on duty Wednesday morning, as usual, at 9-30am and spoke with his sisters.
Around 11-45 am, Ramaiah jumped off the terrace of the Memorial Hospital building, and soon a security guard came to rescue him. However, he had already died. It was last seen around 10-30 am on the phone. Elsewhere, the terrace has been suicidal as it has been covered with iron grills for safety. Police said they haven’t even seen who goes on the terrace.
The wife’s statement was recorded by the police. His wife said work pressure was high after the appearance of the Covid-19 epidemic.
However, the cause of death is not known, and police say the suicide may have been caused by work stress. Sadashivanagar police have registered an abnormal death.
