Covid vaccine available in the state for people over the age of 18 only from mid-May

Bengaluru : Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already announced that the Covid vaccine will be available for those between the ages of 18 and 44 on May 1. Against this backdrop, millions have registered their names as soon as Covin Op opens.
Vaccines are already in demand in many states, and orders are coming in a lot. Vaccine manufacturers are likely to deliver the first part of the vaccine to Karnataka in mid-May, as a pre-commitment to the central government.
Chief Minister Yeddyurappa, who issued a statement yesterday, said the fourth phase of the coronavirus vaccination campaign is being carried out in a phased manner.
The state government is collecting one crore vaccine doses. An additional one crore doses have been ordered. The fourth stage of the vaccine campaign will be carried out step by step. Pharma companies are expanding their production capacity to meet rising demand. A third vaccine option will also be introduced. The Chief Minister said that amidst these conditions, the campaign would start with the availability of vaccines.
The government source has received information that one million vaccines from CovShield may come to Karnataka in the second week of May.
