Mega Lok Adalat to be held on December 19

The Karnataka State Legal Services Authority will lead the second round of Mega e-Lok Adalat on December 19 across all areas in the State to determine select kinds of cases forthcoming in courts through agreeable arrangement.

In a press statement, the KSLSA has expressed that 19.81 lakh cases are forthcoming for mediation in different courts in the State and of these cases, around 2,48,620 have been recognized as fit for settlement through Mega e-Lok Adalat.

First Mega e-Lok Adalat held in 19th September had seen settlement of a record 1.15 lakh cases as it was the first held uniquely through videoconferencing office.

In the resulting e-Lok Adalat, the support of prosecutors would be either by actual presence or through videoconference, the KSLSA’s assertion said.

The cases identified with Moto vehicle mishap pay, compoundable criminal cases, check bounce cases, and family court matters (aside from separate from cases) would be qualified for settlement in Mega e-Lok Adalat.
