Bengaluru: A special court has filed a petition against Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Sureshkumar, Janardhana Sangharsh Parishad president Adarsha R Iyer, BK Prakashbabu and VB Vishwanath have filed a special court against Minister Suresh Kumar for conducting SSLC Exam.
Police have not filed a complaint against Minister Sureshkumar, who is leading the SSLC examination. They have complained to the city police commissioners, the Central Division’s DCP and the Ulsoor Gate Station police on June 17, by e-mail and on the 18th. Police have received a complaint but have not filed an FIR.
Though the IPC has filed a case under Section 304 and 107 against Minister Suresh Kumar, the police have not taken any further action. The petitioners have therefore requested the court to exercise its powers under Section 156 (3) of the CrPC and order the police to file an FIR and take legal action.
Only the Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board has the authority and responsibility to conduct examinations. It is not Minister Sureshkumar’s job to conduct SSLC exams. Nevertheless, the Minister has deliberately and forcefully held a meeting with the Board on May 18, setting exam dates from June 25 to July 4, putting the risk on 8.48 lakh students, teachers and parents . He complained to the police about the incident but said no action had been taken
