CCB Crackdown in Bengaluru: Illegal Pistol and 50 Live Rounds Seized, Two Arrested

BENGALURU: The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has successfully dismantled an illegal arms supply network operating in the city. In a swift operation, two individuals were arrested, and a significant cache of ammunition was recovered.

One individual from Bengaluru, who was illegally procuring weapons from other states, and one supplier from another state have been taken into custody. One 0.32 mm Country-made Pistol.50 Live Bullets (Ammunition) Seized.Acting on credible intelligence received by CCB Police Inspector Rakshith A.K. on February 25, 2026, the team verified the information and conducted a raid. A case has been registered at the CCB Police Station under the Arms Act. Both accused individuals were produced before the Honorable Court on February 25, 2026, and have been remanded to judicial custody.

The operation was executed under the direction of the Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru City, Mr. Seemant Kumar Singh (IPS). Guidance was provided by the Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Mr. Ajay Hilori (IPS), and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime-2), Mr. Raja Imamsimha Kasim. The successful raid was led by CCB ACPs Mahanand and M.N. Nagaraju, along with a dedicated team of Police Inspectors including Balaji V., Rakshith A.K., Shivaraju, and Hemanth Kumar M.
