The state government has extended the deadline for adoption of Kannada name plates by two weeks

Bengaluru: In Bengaluru, the nameplate of all shopping centers including hotels, shops, etc. It has been made mandatory that 60% of letters should be in Kannada, and the state government on Thursday extended the deadline for installation of regular boards by two weeks.
Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, who has posted about this on X, said that considering the need for more time to install 60% Kannada nameplates in all shop fronts and commercial outlets in Bangalore, the already given deadline has been extended by 2 weeks.
Kannada is sovereign in Kannada land, so it is very important to uphold the language of our heart. DCM tweeted that he expected everyone to be law abiding after 2 weeks.
The deadline for introducing 60% Kannada language in the nameplates ended today and has now been extended for weeks. After two weeks, the BBMP has decided to cancel the business license of the shops that do not comply with the order and impose fines.
