Luxury bungalow in Goa: The government has issued a notice to former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh

Panaji: The Goa tourism department has issued a notice to cricketer Yuvraj Singh for listing Luxury Villa in Morjim, Goa as a home stay online without registering it with the relevant authorities of the state.

He was summoned for questioning on December 8. Home stay registration is made mandatory under the Goa Tourist Trade Registration Act, 1982

Rajesh Kale, deputy director of tourism department, sent a notice on November 18 to the address of Luxury Villa Casa in Morjim, North Goa, asking its owner, Yuvraj Singh, to appear before him on December 8 at 11 am for personal questioning.

 Illegally operating as a homestay in your villa. This is being identified on online platforms like Airbnb, the notice said. 

The department also cited Yuvraj Singh’s tweet in which he said he would arrange a special stay for a group of six people coming through @Airbnb at Luxury Bungalow in Goa.
