Rs.1,000 Fine for not wearing seat belt. Karnataka State government order to impose penalty

Bengaluru: Rs 1,000 for driving without seat belt. The state government has issued an order to impose penalty. The police department has issued this order on the instructions of the Ministry of Roads and Highways. All commissionerate and superintendents of police in the state have been notified by the department.

500 for those who do not wear seat belt till now. A fine was imposed. However, in view of the increasing number of accidents, the government has issued a new order and the amount of fine has been increased.

Passengers must wear seat belts in vehicles with no more than 8 passengers. Passengers traveling in cars and private hire vehicles must also wear seat belts.
