Teachers day Celebration at RV College of Nursing in Bengaluru

Bengaluru : RV College of Nursing celebrated teacher’s day by highlighting its significance to all the nursing fraternity & work being done by teachers across the nation, as well as remembering the life of a great educationist and our former President Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.

Dr. S R Gajendra Singh, Principal, RV College of Nursing, welcomed the august gathering. The Chief Guest Shri N Santhosh Hegde, Retd. Judge, Supreme Court of India, Karnataka Lokayukta (Retd.) addressed the gathering by enlightening on moral values, how best students can get themselves involved in change, the importance of contentment, legitimacy & humanism. The Guest of Honour Shri. Prasanna Kumar, Registrar, Karnataka State Nursing Council, Bengaluru, Assistant Director (N) Medical Education & Principal Government College of Nursing addressed the gathering as well.

On this occasion, renowned teachers were awarded for their contribution in the area of nursing education and services dedicated to society which has inspired many others to become emerging leaders. The awardees were Prof Madonna Britto, Dr. K.R Srinivas, Dr S S Prabhudeva & Dr. B A Pataliah. Shri. P.S Venkatesh Babu, Chairman, Governing Council, R V College of Nursing, Trustee, RSST, Bengaluru delivered the presidential address followed by Dr. I Clement, HOD-Research & Development Department expressed his gratitude to the dignitaries, awardees & teachers. The program concluded with National Anthem.
