Mekedatu Padayatra Karnataka High Court asks govt, Congress to explain

Karnataka : A division bench headed by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi additionally inquired as to whether they had the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee if they had sought permission for the protest march and assuming members were following the Covid rules.
The Karnataka High Court on Wednesday asked the BJP government in the state to clarify how the Congress party was being permitted to hold a 10-day walk over the Mekedatu supply project notwithstanding an ascent in Covid-19 cases.
A division seat headed by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi additionally asked the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee if they had sought permission for the protest march, and if participants were following the appropriate Covid protocol
The High Court questions came as it heard a public interest prosecution (PIL) recorded by extremist Nagendra Prasad A V.
