Covid has not yet given a new breed entry to the state: Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar

Bengaluru: Health Minister Dr K Sudhakar has clarified that Covid has not yet entered the new mutant Omicron.

Speaking to reporters in Karnataka, he state that “we are inspecting everyone at the airport and reporting it. “We are testing passenger throat fluid genomes separately without leaving the positive ones.”I have spoken to Rajesh Bhushan, the General Secretary of the Health Department, to make the test mandatory. Reporting to the laboratory for genomic sequence takes 8 to 10 days. This will be made clear by December 1, ”he said.

“We have asked for permission to open the two largest labs in the country and four Genomic Sequence Labs.”
