21 people have been killed in 12 days of rain-related disasters

Bengaluru : Heavy rainfall continues in the state, with heavy rainfall in 10 districts on Tuesday. Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommayi said that in October, the state received continuous rainfall, with the exception of 2-3 districts, with an additional 30-50% rainfall.
Speaking to reporters after an emergency meeting with various department ministers and officials on Tuesday night, he said 21 people have been killed in 12 days of rain-related disasters. The death toll in the Belgaum district, which included seven people who were killed and 7 others killed, has been claimed by the government to be a relief of Rs.10,000/-
2,500 homes have been partially damaged and relief will be given after the assessment. From June to June this year, 4.71 lakh hectares of crop was damaged by rainfall. Rs.105 crores has been given to 1.17 lakh farmers. There is also a sum of Rs. 2,500 homes were damaged by the rains.
Rs 5 lakh compensation will be given to those who lost their houses due to rain. More than 2,300 power poles, bridge, road and school buildings were damaged. Officials have been instructed to inspect the damage and issue compensation.
