Bengaluru : Bengaluru Urban reported 1490 new cases of Covid-19 out of the total 2566 from across the state on Friday. Meanwhile, the daily positivity rate was recorded at 2.28 per cent while over 1.12 lakh samples were tested in the last 24 hours. Chief Secretary P. Ravi Kumar (Govt Of Karnataka ) directed authorities to ensure strict compliance of the order. “All authorities will ensure that public gatherings and congregation during the upcoming religious festivals such as Holi, Ugadi, Shab-e-Barat, Good Friday etc. shall not be allowed in public.

Based on this orders from the State Government , Thilaknagar Nagar police headed by Circle Inspector MR. M.L Girish issued notice to all the Churches and mosque’s to attend the peaceful meeting which wad held 26th (Friday ) evening .The Station Inspector Mr. ML. Girish , Sub Inspector Ms. Savinaya & Sub Inspector Mr.Praveen appealed to the public to cooperate with the authorities, avoid public gatherings and follow COVID-19 appropriate behaviour for the next few months. “The mask rule and restrictions imposed on public gatherings will be implemented strictly and violations will be penalised. Organisers of gatherings and owners of venues will be booked and penalised for violations,” .

Action would be taken against persons violating the order under the Disaster Management Act, 2005, and the Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act, 2020.
