Central Government’s attempt to reduce income of farmers in Bihar: Rahul Gandhi

NEW DELHI: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants the country’s farmers’ income to be lower than the income of farmers in Bihar.

Farmers in the country want their income to be like the income of Punjab farmers. But the Modi government wants to bring down the income of every single farmer in the country, ”Rahul tweeted.

In addition to the tweet, Rahul shared some statistics showing that the maximum average annual income is that of a farmer in Punjab, but the Bihar farmers’ income is in contrast. The data shows that the average annual income of a farmer in Punjab is Rs 2,16,708, while in Bihar it is the lowest at Rs 42,684. Haryana farmers, on the other hand, earn an average of Rs 1,73,208 per annum. And in third place, the annual average of the farmers of Jammu and Kashmir is Rs 1,52,196. Kerala’s farmer ranks fourth, followed by Karnataka.
