Karnataka records highest number of cure cases, 8061 discharged in a single day
Karnataka has seen an increase in the number of coronavirus infections, making it the first time the state has recorded a record number of infections.
8061 infected people across the state in one day, which is the highest number of cases in a single day. According to the Health Department, 8061 persons were cured in the last 24 hours, thus increasing the total number of infections recovered to 1,97,625. Health experts believe the number of infected people is declining and recovery is on the rise.
As of today, 5851 positives have been confirmed, bringing the total number of Covid cases to 2,83,665. There are currently 81,211 active cases in the state, with 130 deaths due to coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours and 4,810 deaths so far. Bangalore recorded the highest number of such cases in 1918, Belgaum 319, Bellary 306, Mysore 202, Shimoga 220 and Koppal 271.
