Government cancels online education till 5th grade: Suresh Kumar

Bengaluru: The state government has canceled online education for LKG, UK, and primary level students in the state on Wednesday amid strong opposition to online education of young children.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar has announced the decision to cancel online education after several rounds of discussions with officials and education experts.
Addressing a news conference today, the minister said all schools should stop online classes for LKG, UKG, and primary school students. Fees taken in the name of online classes should be stopped immediately. No schools can raise fees this year in the wake of the Coronavirus crisis. But, he said there is an opportunity to cut fees.
Meanwhile, the minister warned that stringent action would be taken against the schools forcing parents for fees.
