10th Exams cancelled in TN and other States .

CHENNAI: Telangana Class 10 exams have been cancelled due to the deadly coronavirus virus. The Tamil Nadu and Puducherry governments, which are following the same move, have also canceled Class 10 examination and passed all students.
Tamil Nadu CM E Palani Swamy and Puducherry CM Narayanaswamy have announced that the 10th and 11th class exams have been canceled. Also stated that all students have passed. The two chief ministers have announced that they will take a decision on the 12th class examination in the next few days
Tuesday, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy said all the 10 grade students will be promoted to 11th grade. The 10th grade students will be given 80% marks, based on their achievement in the quarterly and semi-annual examinations, and 20% marks based on their attendance.
Examinations have already been postponed twice in Tamil Nadu. Then the date was rescheduled. However, the High Court, which received a petition from the public and teacher sector, questioned the government’s concerns. The government has said it will continue testing for possible infections in the coming days. But now the test has been cancelled as the solution to all problems.
Similarly, Puducherry CM V Narayana Swamy, who held a news conference today, also said that 10th class exams have been cancelled.
