Will not agree for T-20 World Cup postponement: Pakistan Cricket Board

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that it is not in line with the ICC’s plans to postpone the T20 World Cup for the upcoming IPL in India. The T20 World Cup is set to take place in Australia from October 18 to 15. However, there have been reports that the ICC is considering postponing the 2020 tourney to 2022, due to the fact that in some countries the lockdown will continue until September. The ICC will hold a meeting with its member states today and announce its final decision.

BCCI plans to maintain IPL version in October-November BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has already received support from some cricket boards including Australia, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Others, such as the West Indies, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, have no chance of deciding against the BCCI in the event of membership.
