First CM Ajit Jogi passes away in Chhattisgarh.

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Ajit Jogi (74) died at a private hospital here on Friday afternoon. He died of cardiac arrest at 3.30 pm on Friday afternoon while fighting a life-threatening illness at a private hospital 20 days ago. Jogi is survived by his wife Renu Jogi and son Amit Jogi.
He was admitted to Sri Narayana Hospital on May 9th due to severe respiratory problems & heart attack, he was treated for a coma on the ventilator.
Jogi, who was originally an IAS officer, later joined Congress. Chhattisgarh served as its first chief minister from 2000 to 2003 when the state was formed. In 2016, he left the Congress party formed the Janata Congress Chhattisgarh.
