If the IPL is canceled, BCCI will suffer a huge loss. In my estimation, it is around Rs 4,000 crore There will be a loss. There is also the opportunity to increase this amount. At present, there is no clear information about the IPL. There is an ongoing debate over corona status. “We are doing all sorts of things to keep the IPL going,” explained Arun Dhumal.

If the IPL is canceled, Star India, which has bought the broadcast rights of the tourney, could also suffer huge losses. However, some analysts have suggested that the IPL should be conducted in a vacant stadium though. Sri Lanka and the UAE have also said that they are ready to host the IPL version. Dhumal said, however, that the current international traveler’s lack of full-scale clearance would not be a question of concern.

Beginning in 2008, the IPL has generated huge revenue for the BCCI over the past 12 editions. BCCI has grown financially to the point of shocking the International Cricket Council (ICC). A number of tournaments have begun to compete with the IPL but have not been successful.
