13 companies employing 59 candidates during Corona hardship

Bengaluru: While most corporations have fired workers during the Corona crisis, 13 companies have recruited new employees. This is the first of its kind in the country.

Of the 53 companies registered for the job fair held in the second week of July, 13 companies, such as Hotel and Health Care, hired 59 candidates. About 938 candidates have registered on the portal, officials said.

A shortlist of candidates was prepared based on the requirement of the companies. Employees have already received an appointment letter and are working from home. Officials say 863 people are also recruiting at various levels.

The government is now planning to upgrade the portal like Naukri.com. This online will make it easier for companies to keep track of the vacancies they need.
