BBMP sacked 44 unqualified teachers!

BENGALURU: The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palika (BBMP) has dismissed 44 teachers for not having sufficient qualifications to teach students in the institutions run by the corporation.
BBMP Special Commissioner (Welfare) Ram Prasath Manohar told The media that teachers who did not complete B.Ed, NET, SLET, UGC or M.Phil and failed to follow professional norms during the recruitment process were dismissed.
The government’s order to consider only those with appropriate qualifications for the post of teachers will also apply to BBMP. Therefore, teachers who do not have appropriate degrees have been removed as the order should be followed in the interest of education and the educational interests of the children. Many teachers in BBMP’s schools and colleges have not obtained the required degrees.
BBMP has issued a notice to Crystal Infosystem Pvt Ltd, an agency for assigning teachers on contract basis to BBMP by the Chief Commissioner to transfer 44 teachers teaching in various corporation institutions by 21/07/2022.
The Chief Commissioner has issued a notice to the Crystal Agency in the background of clarifying that the responsibility of the Crystal Infosystem organization, which outsourced the placement of the teachers, is the responsibility. Candidates with suitable degrees should be filled immediately. If not, action will be taken against you, he warned.
Now questions have been raised against the education department of BBMP, which is playing with the lives of students. Education expert Niranjan Aradhya accused the corporation of violating the ‘term of reference’ under the Right to Education Act in the appointment of teachers and said that the concerned authorities who approved the appointment will be held responsible as it will affect many children studying in BBMP institutions.
