Case filed against BJP president JP Nadda for insulting National Flag

A case has been filed against BJP president JP Nadda for allegedly insulting the National Flag while paying his respect to the mortal remains of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh in Lucknow on August 22.
Chandra Kishore Parashar, a resident of Sikandarpur, has filed a case in the Muzaffarpur Chief Judicial Magistrate’s court, alleging that the president had disrespected the tricolor flag on the nation’s flag which was hung on Parvathi’s body before his funeral on August 22 in Lucknow.
‘The BJP has done this on purpose. “This is an insult to the national flag,” the petitioner said in his complaint.
The court is yet to take cognisance of the case or set the date for the hearing.
