Chief Minister instructs to provide 50 beds to private medical colleges

Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa  held a meeting with the heads of private medical colleges regarding the management of Covid19.

Private medical college hospitals need to cooperate in the wake of the huge increase in the number of Covid 19 cases in Bangalore. The government has in some cases refused to treat Covid and non-Covid patients.

At the previous meeting, it was agreed that 2000 government medical colleges and 4,500 beds would be available in private medical colleges. However, the Chief Minister was upset that the private medical colleges did not provide such a large number of beds and many other problems were realized when our ministers visited some medical colleges.

He advised private medical institutions to ensure that there is a balance in the state’s medical system, without denying treatment to other patients who do not have Covid.

If there is a shortage of doctors and nurses, the government will appoint. The Chief Minister promised that the government would provide whatever support was needed.
