An innovative program called ‘Mask Day’ in the state: CM BS Yeddyurappa

Karnataka: CM BS Yeddyurappa has announced that he will be launching a new event called ‘Mask Day’ in the state. Addressing a press conference, he said that the last two hours have been about the cases of coronavirus in Bangalore city and the state. He said that it was decided that those coming from Maharashtra should have a 7-day hotel quarantine and a 7 day home quarantine, 3 day quarantine for those coming from Chennai and Delhi
CM announced that a new event called ‘Mask Day’ will be held this Thursday. We will be performing near the Ambedkar statue inside the Vidhana Soudha compound. Through masks, we maintain social distance and create awareness to the people. The program is aimed at raising awareness among the people to make the mask mandatory. He said the filmmakers and dignitaries will take part in the event and create awareness on social interfaith and mask wear.
There are no plans to implement a lockdown again in the state. Neither does the weekend curfew. Yeddyurappa said further concessions would be sought during the discussion with the Prime Minister. It is important to maintain mask obligations and social distance in the coming days. Mask is mandatory in the entire state. He said that those who do not wear masks will be fined Rs 200.
