Veteran comedian Bank Janardhan passes away: Kannada film industry in shock

Bengaluru: Comedian Bank Janardhan (76), who made people laugh in more than 500 Kannada films, has passed away. Actor Bank Janardhan breathed his last at around 2.30 am at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru.
The body has been kept at his residence in Sultan Palya and arrangements have been made for the last rites. Family sources said that the last rites will be performed between 3-4 pm.
Bank Janardhan had a heart attack a few months ago. He was active in the film industry for the last 40 years. Janardhan was involved in Kannada cinema, television and theatre. He has played many roles as a comedian.
Janardhan excelled as a comedian in Kannada cinema. One of the most sought-after comedians of the 80s and 90s, Janardhan has attracted attention in many films including Sh, directed by Upendra, Tharle Naan Maga, Belliappa Bangarappa, Ganesh Subrahmanya, and Gaurav.
