Get ready to pay More-Bescom looks for Rs 1.58 per unit hike in power BILLS

The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (Bescom) is trying to hike power bills by Rs 1.58 per unit in 2022. In its proposition to the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC), Bescom has refered to mounting misfortunes to look for the climb in the month to month influence levy. Sources in the Energy Department affirmed to DH that Bescom and other Escoms in the state have recorded a request for the hike in 2022.

The KERC is relied upon to hold hearings in different pieces of the state dependent on the appeal to and articulate the last levy request by April or May. Last year, Bescom looked for a raise of Rs 1.35 per unit, while KERC supported just 30 paise.
The authorities said Rs 1.58 was just a normal estimation, and the real numbers could be diverse for private and business foundations.
