WhatsApp will stop working on SOME smartphones from 1st November 2021

In a major development, Facebook-owned popular instant messaging platform WhatsApp will reportedly stop working for some smartphones starting November 1, 2021. The messaging application recently announced that it would stop its support for some Android and iOS smartphones.

In its declaration, WhatsApp has said that the application won’t be supporting more seasoned variants of both Android and iOS. Anybody with a cell phone supporting Android OS 4.1 or more and iOS 10 or more will be the ones in particular who will actually want to utilize the messaging application.

The reason for the termination of services on these smartphones is that the instant messaging app will no longer support older versions of Android and iOS to ensure that the security of the app and the privacy of users are maintained.
