State-wide Covid Vaccine Festival Day: Minister Sudhakar

Covid Vaccine Festival will be held one day a week across the state. Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr K Sudhakar, said on Saturday that Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai will soon be running for it.

He said a total of 4 crore doses of covid vaccine have been issued in the state. “I and the Chief Minister have recently met the Union Health Minister and requested the government to supply the government more than 5 lakh doses of Covid vaccine daily.
We aim to vaccinate at least 5 lakh doses every day. “We aim to organize a vaccine festival once a week and vaccinate 15 to 20 lakh doses a day,” he said.

Bengaluru is the first country for foreigners to come here. So we are giving importance to Bengaluru when it comes to vaccination. Bangalore has a total population of 1.20 crore. About 80 lakh people can get the vaccine, excluding children. We have already given 1 crore dose of vaccine here. He said that action has been taken to provide vaccine in the slums in Bengaluru.
