State government decision on Occupancy certificate ,compulsory for apartments soon!

Bengaluru : The state government is now looking at reconsidering the mandatory Rules of Surcharge (OC) for obtaining necessary permits for supplies such as electricity and water in apartments.
As part of the building project, the OC was made mandatory and whether or not it should be continued.
While discussing the urban development project, a minister mentioned the issue of the mandate of the Appropriation Certificate to obtain the necessary supplies for apartments. Many apartments and commercial complexes do not have OC. The power connection, however, is only temporary.
Is it necessary to cancel the electricity connection to such areas or legalize it? The minister had queried that it was decided to reconsider the mandatory rule. Officials have been advised to pay attention to the matter, though no official decision has been made, a senior official said.
Under the current Karnataka Town and Country Planning Act and the BBMP Act, is OC being made mandatory? Will be reviewed in detail.
At the same meeting, a separate authority for the maintenance of 860km arterial-sub-arterial roads was also discussed.
