400 crore loss to private bus owners from lockdown

Karnataka : Private bus owners in the state have paid a sum of Rs 400 crore to lockdown in the wake of the Covid pandemic. Karnataka State Private Bus Owners’ Federation president Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak
said they had suffered more losses.
Speaking at a news conference, he said there are 8,000 private buses operating in the state, including express service. He said the loss of bus owners ranges from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.50 lakh every day.
