Milk , Auto Fare ,Bus Fare will be raised soon

Karnataka: Bengaluru City, which has been hit by a hike in petrol, diesel and LPG cylinders, is back with three shocks, with milk, auto and bus prices likely to rise in the city soon.
KMF has also decided to raise the price of milk. The transport corporation has proposed to increase the ticket prices of AC and non-AC buses by 18-20%, a senior BMTC official said. “Diesel prices have gone up and BMTC is suffering revenue loss due to Covid.
The state budget will be announced this week, and the government is likely to take a decision on the hike after the budget is announced, an official said. In response, Transport Minister Laxman Sawadi said that the government does not intend to increase the current BMTC fares.
Talking about the hike in the autorickshaw, Transport Secretary Anjum Parvez said the drivers’ unions are looking to increase the current fare from Rs 25 to Rs 36 for the first 2 km as LPG prices have gone up.
The KMF has said that the milk price hike is inevitable in the current situation and we will have a discussion with the department officials soon. Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has 14 milk federations and each offers a different purchase rate to farmers. Dairy farmers are currently being charged between Rs 31 and Rs 34 per liter of milk. They are demanding a hike of Rs 40 per liter.
Commenting on the same issue, KMF President Balachandra Jarkiholi said: “The unions are at a loss and the farmers are suffering because of Covid. In 2020 we have increased the price of milk from Rs 35 to Rs 37 per liter and from Rs 39 to Rs 41 per liter. If the associations offer a fixed purchase price, the government will provide additional incentives. For example, the Bangalore City Milk Coalition charges Rs 26 per liter and the government Rs 5 per liter. Gives. The government needs Rs 100 crore every month to provide incentives. Thus, the rate hike is inevitable.
According to sources, KMF is seriously considering raising the price of 2 to 3 rupees per liter of milk.
