Covid report of all hockey players including Manpreet discharged from Bangalore hospital

NEW DELHI : Six Indian men’s hockey players, including former Indian hockey captain Manpreet Singh, have recovered from Covid-19 and will be discharged from Bangalore Hospital on Monday evening.

According to sources close to him, Manpreet, R Surender Kumar, Jaskaran Singh, Varun Kumar, Goalkeeper Krishan Bahadur Pathak and striker Mandeep Singh have been discharged from the hospital twice after receiving a report as Covid Negative. Between August 10 and 12, he tested positive for Covid infection.

“All hockey players have fully recovered from Covid-19 and they will be discharged this evening,” a source told PTI. Though asymptomatic, Mandeep was admitted to the Sports Authority of India (SAI) SS Sparsh Multi-Specialty Hospital in Bangalore after his blood oxygen level fell.
