Supply of remdecivir to private hospitals by Karnataka government

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government has taken a major decision on supplying the remdecivir vaccine to private hospitals in order to break the sale price.
Several important decisions were taken at the Covid-19 Task Force meeting on coronavirus infection control in Karnataka on Tuesday. The government has decided to take a major role in availability the coronavirus vaccine, and the government has decided to supply the remdecivir vaccine to private hospitals to avoid costly selling. The ICMR has already approved the remdecivir vaccine as an additional drug for coronavirus patients, and for this reason the demand for remdecivir vaccines has increased in the country.
In addition, the government has allocated 2000 for sending patients for antigen tests and 3000 for private examiners. The government has warned that stringent action will be taken against private hospitals who have asked for more than what the government has fixed. The government has already decided to buy 4 lakh antigen kits and 5 lakh swab test kits. Similarly, 13 R-T-PCR and 15 Automated RSAX Tract Labs have been approved for installation. This will enable you to test at least 50 thousand per day. The committee has been given oversight of these tests. The purchase of Covid-19 Accessories will be decided on the basis of this committee recommendation. Covid 19 Task Force will make the final decision on this purchase. The government has set aside Rs 500 crore for the purchase of Covid-19 accessories.
