There is no intention of starting school from 1st July -Suresh Kumar

Karnataka: Primary and secondary education minister S. Suresh Kumar has said there is no intention of opening schools from July 1st.

In no event is the Department of Education intending to open any school from July 1st. No parent should be confused about this. Suresh Kumar made it clear that the next Cabinet meeting on schooling in the state will also be discussed.

Releasing a statement, he said that the Central Human Resources Development Ministry has had video conversations with senior officials of various state education departments on the subject of school initiatives. Human Resources Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has also hinted that the start date for the school will be only after August 15.

Also, the union minister announced that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would be reducing the curriculum for the next academic calendar for all the classes to make up for the lost time due to the COVID-19 lockdown asserting that the curriculum will be curtailed in proportion to
