Two women killed for thunderstorm, lightning strikes Karnataka

KARNATAKA: Heavy rains have caused Damage to life’s the state. Two women were killed last night in Uttara Karnataka and Haveri districts.
37-year-old Shobha Chandrakanta Gowda died in Gokarna, of Uttara Kannada district and two children were found to have minor injuries.
Mallavva Naikkara (55), a farmer in Haveri district, fell to Thunder when he went to sow maize on the farm.
Also, the impact of heavy downpours in the town of Hirerukur has blown up the roof of a government school, causing wind and rain in some parts of the district.
Heavy rains are also reported in Belgaum, Dharwad, and Shimoga district of Malnad. Also, in the densely populated Vijayapur district, heavy rainfall, including thunder and thunderstorms, has cooled the people who have been sunburned.
Heavy rains in Mangalore and Dakshina Kannada districts have caused heavy rainfall across the Arabian Sea.
